Terrace Reserve Holiday Park

Brunswick Heads is the perfect family friendly spot to take the kids for a real beach holiday. We have returned several times to , because of its excellent waterfront location and proximity to endless pristine beaches, river and shops.



The four star holiday park has both powered and unpowered sites for caravans, campervans or camping, as well as small cabins overlooking the river (pictured above). I believe the highlight of staying in the cabins is the outdoor barbecue, where you can grill your "catch of the day" while gazing over the incoming tide.



We spent hours sitting and watching the view from our cabin verandah, while the kids enjoyed pelican spotting. There is a great children's playground nearby with views across the river, which is also a popular place to spend the afternoon.





Brunswick Heads:

The seaside town of Brunswick Heads sits at the mouth of the Brunswick River, so you can choose from quiet places to swim or head to the ocean for the waves. It is an ideal spot to cycle and there are several bike trails to follow, including the "Tour De Bruns" and riding along the beach at low tide. Kayaking along the river is another excellent way to explore the local area and you can hire canoes and kayaks at Brunswick River Kayaks.



Walking distance from the are many cosmopolitan cafes and take away shops - our favorite being Sticky Fingers Pizzeria for their delicious and interesting pizzas. Further afield, Byron Bay is a great place to wander around and Crystal Castle is a favorite family attraction to visit in the Mullumbimby hinterland.

The is only a two hour drive south of Brisbane, making it the ideal place to visit without driving all day to get there. A stay there will hopefully leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed. Have fun.
