Hotel Sophia Melbourne CBD

I wanted cheap, clean, Melbourne CBD accommodation with an ensuite bathroom, and Hotel Sophia was a great choice. It had an old world charm, and my room was tiny, but it was perfectly adequate for my budget overnight stay. It was located an easy walking distance to Southern Cross Station, Etihad Stadium and Melbourne CBD.



Overall, I was most impressed by the value for money at Hotel Sophia . My room had it's own coffee machine and tea facilities. I lay in bed watching television, had a shower and crashed out for the night.





Next morning, the couple in the room next door were a little noisy and I woke early for a complimentary cooked buffet breakfast. I enjoyed my cereal with fruit, yogurt and muesli, followed by hash browns, scrambled eggs on toast, and pancakes, all included in the cost of my room ($90 for one night). There were also triple and superior rooms available and I would recommended Hotel Sophia for anyone travelling to Melbourne on a budget.
