Chittering Hills Bed and Breakfast

This is a great country get away if you're wanting some peace, quiet and relaxation in simply beautiful surrounds.



Based in Chittering, less than an hours drive from Perth, this B&B has a King room and two Queen rooms. We opted for the king room which was an ensuite that was so well appointed, and furnished in calming tones for the ultimate in relaxation. In addition to the bedroom, you also have use of the guests lounge and dining area, including a patio. When we arrived, we were greeted by Lynn (the owner) who took us out to the patio for a coffee and some home made cake, overlooking some of the most beautiful views in Chittering.

This is more of an adults getaway, although over 14's are permitted to stay. There are no TV's in the rooms or lounge, but there are plenty of books and magazines to keep you entertained, or you can bring your own. A walk around the local countryside is also a great idea. Tea and coffee facilities are available all day.



Breakfast is served in the guests dining area, and is a gorgeous affair. We opted for the full cooked breakfast, and this was a real treat. Lynn is a fabulous cook and you'll leave neither disappointed or hungry.



If you are in the area in the evening, as a recommendation, it is a good idea to make some dinner reservations in advance. We went to the Stringybark Winery and Tavern and had a sumptious meal there. It gets very busy on weekends nights, so it is definitely a good idea to book ahead. On Winter's evenings, ask for a table near the fire and you'll feel warm in no time.

Prices are currently $180 for a King room and $160 for a Queen room.

This would be a great retreat for exploring the surrounding countryside, or for staying over during the Chittering wildflower festival or the local country shows.
