It's a little out of Airlie Beach, in the neighbouring suburb of Cannonvale, but BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is worth it considering for a trip to the popular holiday destination. It offers a range of accommodation options and while they're not always the cheapest around, the great facilities mean you'll get your money's worth.
Options for visitors to stay in include 1-3 bedroom cabins and studios (I've stayed in the studio, which was pretty typical of any caravan park, if a little cramped in the bathroom area). If you're bringing your own accommodation and just need a place to set up there's a few different kinds of powered sites to choose from.
The facilities are pretty extensive at this resort too, which is important as there's not much to do in the area around the park, which is on a main road and very industrial. It's got a 32 metre lagoon, a tennis court, mini golf, an adventure playground and giant jumping pillows. Kids can hire pedal carts and there's even an outdoor movie screen, where films are shown regularly. Wireless internet is available for a few hours for site (though the signal is quite poor), while camp kitchen is large and cleaned daily.

As well as its very well-maintained facilities, one thing that makes BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort stand out is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The whole of Airlie Beach seems to have a similar vibe, but here it seemed like everyone truly wanted your stay to be as good as possible.
